I have a question, why the icon couldn't be scaled in Maya ? However, it works well in Maya Go to Solution. Solved by sean. It's possible as well it may be due to the image size of the icons which is why some of the icons scale a bit better than others.

While this isn't a bug or a critical issue, I highly recommend posting this on the Maya Idea Board! This is a great place for the community to share ideas or feature they want to see in the future of Maya and this board is regularly checked by the dev team!

Out of curiosity, can you try opening the image in a photo editing software like Ms paint or Photoshop and make the icons a bit larger to see if anything changes? This will let me know if its a possible problem with Maya just not scaling icons or it could be they just simply need to be a bit larger.

Hmm ok then this is most likely a change that occurred between and with how it reads icons for custom shelves etc. Since it isn't technically a bug, I highly recommend posting this on the Maya Idea Board! Maya Forum. I can seem to find out howto install this.
